Sarangan is a beautiful lake. The Landscape and the atmosphere offered so different. It is easy to reach the place. It is about 16 kilometers to the west from the downtown. If you come from Central Java, you can decide to have a trip from Solo, then you go simply ahead to east and travel about 75 miles through Tawangmangu, Karanganyar. This trip can be reached by private car or by public transportation.
I used to go to Telaga Sarangan by motorcycle. Many people say that this place is a favorite destination for most bikers. You know what? When you go to this place, you will pass through a challenging road, up and down. ^_^ But it is totally save if you ride your motorcycle slowly.
Telaga Sarangan is a natural lake with a 30-hectares wide and 28 meters deep. It is also known as Telaga Pasir. At the middle of the lake, there is a small island which gives you more view. Because of the comfortable atmosphere which is between 18-25 degrees Celsius, the lake attract the attention of hundreds of thousands of tourists every year.
There is an interesting fact that Telaga Sarangan has become an appropriate place for you who want to spend your honeymoon days. You will find cottages around the lake which will serve you a fascinating condition.
